How does Canine Bowen Technique work?
CBT is a very gentle technique which uses subtle movement of fingers and thumbs making small rolling movements over muscle, ligaments and fascia at specific locations on the dog's body.
These subtle, but powerful moves are interspersed with short breaks to allow the dog's body to assimilate the work and to begin the process of rebalancing.
CBT works holistically and aims to promote healing, body realignment, harmony and balance.
An atmosphere of calm and trust is essential during a CBT session, the dog's movements are never restricted and no moves are ever forced upon a dog.
CBT is holistic and treats the body as a whole. I will often make moves on different areas of the body to address a problem caused by the dog compensating for a condition elsewhere.
